Northamptonshire Police are appealing for any information regarding an Attempt Distraction Burglary. Between the stated times an unknown person has attended elderly victim’s address St Andrews Road, East Haddon, to look at the water meter. The victim invited unknown person in to address without checking ID. Unknown person asked to read the meter which victim refused, person looked at the meter and realised it was a smart meter and made his excuses and left. Nothing was taken Victim checks with Water Company whom mentioned that no one was in the area reading meters.
