Crabtree Pit Pocket Park
The meadow is becoming a jubilee of flowers and is definitely worth visiting at this time of year. Here's three union coloured flowers.
Sorrel
Sorrel - their tall, slender, attractive flowers appear in May and June, proudly pepper the green grasses of our meadow with crimson and pink.
Speedwell
Speedwell - weaving at the base of grasses with delicate sky blue flowers, like an unequally divided party cake, 3 petals the same, with the fourth smaller.
Ox-eye Daisy
Ox-eye Daisy - punchy, showy white lights, their tall skyscraper-like flowers offer safe landing platforms that attract most of the high flyers of the insect world.
